RSF F Renault driver Calado celebrates 2008 Winter Cup win with Fortec boss Richard Dutton and team

Backing British motor racing talent

The cost of motor sport today is such that exceptional individual race driving talent can go to waste because of a lack of funds.  The Racing Steps Foundation has been created to help a small number of such talented but financially disadvantaged young drivers to attain the senior formulae.

Initially involving Karting, Formula Renault and Fomula 3, the Foundation will fund the seats of four young drivers in 2008: two in Karting, one in F Renault and one in F3.  Former F1 World Champion John Surtees and “Karting Guru” Martin Hines will assist the Foundation’s consultants to identify beneficiaries.
